Addressing domestic violence is an urgent priority for Birmingham Community Safety Partnership and through this strategy we intend to harness the commitment of all our agencies to state, for the first time, how Birmingham will address domestic violence and build a safer, stronger and healthier city for all.
The strategy has been developed in partnership with key stakeholders and contains many recommendations for Birmingham’s agencies. Most significantly, it places responsibilities upon all our agencies to work together in collaboration to address domestic violence more effectively. Your views about the priorities outlined as well as how your own organisation can contribute, will be most welcomed.
A number of seminars will be held within the consultation period and we hope that you will be able to attend.
Responses to this consultation should reach us by 15th May 2006. Submissions may be made either by:
e-mail: paula_harding@birmingham.gov.uk (with ‘DV Strategy’ in the subject heading)
or by post:
