
These mainly apply to the 3-year period April 2005 to March 2008. However, the four target areas that relate directly to the Community Safety Partnership’s area of work do not all fit within this general timeframe. The four target areas concern fire and crime reduction, reoffending and environmental cleanliness.
Although finally signed off in September 2005, this LPSA relates to the period from April 2004 to March 2007.
There are 3 related target elements, each of which is measured according to the cumulative performance over three years, rather than final year outturn.
i) To Reduce Accidental Dwelling Fires
The target is to reduce accidental house fires to 3.336 over the three-year period.
ii) To Reduce Arson Vehicle Fires
The target is to reduce arson vehicle fires to 4,083 over the three-year period.
iii) To Reduce Arson Non-Dwelling Fires
The target is to reduce arson non-dwelling fires to 1,059 over the three-year period.

There are three related elements, each of which will be measured on final year performance.
i) Personal Robbery
The target is to reduce personal robbery to 4,825 by March 2008.
ii) Burglary Dwelling
The target is to reduce burglary dwelling to 9,201 by March 2008.
iii) Public Place Wounding
The target is to reduce public place wounding to 6,312 by March 2008.

There are two discrete areas which comprise this section, each constituting half of the LPSA:
i) To increase the percentage of PPOs who are retained in drug treatment for at least 12 weeks
This agreement covers the period October 1st 2005 to September 30th 2008.
Progress to establish the framework of agreements and activity to operate the LPSA are now in place but performance information is not yet available.
ii) To reduce reoffending by young people
This area is currently under development.
