A number of local agencies have responded by getting together with the Birmingham Fire Reduction Partnership (BFRP), highlighting the large number of vehicle-access points in the park and implementing ways to shore them up. Large furrows have been dug out close to the perimeter of the park at Manor Farm and site access has been secured by planting wooden stubs along the entire edge of the park. The work means that the park has kept its attractive appearance, even though security has been tightened.
