ASBOs were issued to seven young men known as the 'Cash or Slash Money Crew' following allegations of verbal and physical intimidation and assaults in Newtown. Gavin James (20), of Melbourne Avenue, Lewis Lynch (19), of Lourt Walk, Luke Gustave (19), of Frankfort Street, Elijah Hall (20), of Guest Grove, Nijah Miller (19), of New Croft, Joshua Watson (19), of Seals Green, Kings Norton and Tyrell Meikle (17), of Overmore Close, Lozells, have been banned from entering a specific exclusion zone in the Newtown area, from threatening or intimidating any person in the City and from associating or gathering in the City.
The orders remain in force for three years and will be used as an example of how neighbourhoods can work together to challenge the impact of gang culture across Birmingham.
