Staff within the team assist in the coordination of:
• CCTV use across the City;
• Safety on public transport;
• Tackling violence and vulnerability issues (which include domestic violence, hate crime and prostitution); and
• Tackling business crime.
In addition, the team also includes seconded officers from West Midlands Police and West Midlands Fire Service who act as links between the key partner agencies (see the Birmingham Fire Reduction Partnership).
