The Community Fire Safety Team provides a central focus and framework of support for the development, co-ordination and facilitation of Brigade Community Fire Safety campaigns, resources and guidance.

The Team’s primary aims are to:

  • Help to achieve a reduction in fire related death, injury and damage to home in accordance with Brigade corporate policies.
  • Develop Community Fire Safety awareness; sharing and promoting 'good practice' and evaluation as an integral part of the management of fire risk and the reduction in fires.
  • Develop, implement and support Fire Service personnel in the delivery of the Brigade Education Programme.
  • Work with the wider Brigade and other stakeholders to plan and develop effective fire safety programmes and partnerships, focusing on people and communities at greatest risk.
